DONT MISS OUT – MAKE SURE YOU ARE REGISTERED WITH YOUR DOCTOR!

Don’t miss out when it comes to your health

Do you have a learning disability or support someone who does?

If the answer is yes, make sure you tell your GP that you have a learning disability. They will add you to the learning disability register, and make changes to the care you get by making things a bit easier. You could also get a complete health check every year. Watch our new video for more information.

Healthwatch Sunderland are interested in your views !

STOMP – Stop Over Medication of People with Learning Disabilities.

Please see the attached information on what we are trying to do to help people with learning disabilities and or autism to make sure they have review meetings to decide if they could be taken off some medication, or perhaps have it reduced.

This will not always be possible for everyone but it is important that a meeting is held with your GP to talk about it.

If you would like any further information you can talk to Dave Gerrard who is the pharmacist working with the community learning disability team in Sunderland.
