Palliative Care and End of Life

Learning Disability community services are working closely with South Tyneside Foundation Trust to ensure we provide accessible information to people with learning disabilities and their carers on end of life and palliative care.
We are building a series of resources on the main site for people with learning disabilities but also wanted to provide as much information about our services and best practice when supporting people with learning disabilities for professionals too.

Using the Mental Capacity Act
The new film explains the principals of the Mental Capacity Act and how they work in practice for people who may lack capacity. It also looks at how the Act supports everyone to plan for their future, when they may lack capacity.
