Providing useful information for people with learning disabilities, their carers and all health professionals

Sunderland People First at City Hospitals for Learning disability Week.

As you may be aware it is almost learning disability awareness week.

This year we are focusing on the importance of friendships and relationships for people with a learning disability, and highlighting the fact that too many people are still living isolated from their communities – in fact we found that a third of young people (aged 18-35) spend less than an hour a day outside their home!

Sunderland People first will be in the main reception at City Hospitals Sunderland on the 20th of June between 12.30pm  and 2.30pm, please pop along to see them all

Thanks!

Ashley Murphy.
