Please find information here about how important it is to make sure you get your flu jab. It is extremely important this year in 2020 that you get your flu jab.

In the next few links you will find out more about how to protect yourself from flu. The Health Promotion Team are also available to support people with a learning disability along to their GP practice for their flu vaccination where additional support is needed. Find out more about the health promotion team in the section Health services made easy.

The community treatment team for learning disabilities can also give you the flu vaccine if you would like them too and you are finding it difficult to go along to your GP surgery.

If you think you would like the health promotion team or the Community Learning Disability Team to give you your flu jab and you are not going to your doctors for it, please ring IRS on 0303 123 1145 and ask them to make a referral to the health promotion team and we will contact you to arrange this.

Having the flu jab during the pandemic

The next link is for information for childen who may recive the nasal spray for flu. Adults with a learning disability can also ask for the nasal spray if they are afraid of needles.
